JOB SCOPE

This is a senior leadership position reporting to the General Manager of MSHF based in Shenzhen with functional reporting to the MSIM regional Office of Chief Operating Officer (OCOO). The individual will be responsible for managing critical business functions including:

• Manage / support integration of MSHF and Morgan Stanley

• Ensure a strong and well- integrated governance framework is in place for the business

• Supervise administration functions, manage projects and lead other strategic business initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working directly with the MSHF General Manager and the MSIM Asia OCOO to deliver on MSIM China business priorities

• Regular communication and meetings with internal and external stakeholders (local, regional, global) including those in support and control functions

• Review and approval of business critical documents such as certifications and regulatory reports

• Identify issues for attention and escalation

• Change management: to guide senior management and general staff in implementing changes

• Leading BAU projects and other special projects

• Management of access controls, expenses, headcount, and business contingency planning

• Building relationships and representing the Firm with core industry organizations and other external constituents


Qualifications:


REQUIREMENTS

• Industry experience of at least 10 years in asset / fund management, ideally in a business management or business / product development environment or a related support role

• Knowledge of investment management processes and asset management product structures; ideally with experience both onshore China and offshore international markets (e.g., US/Europe/Asia)

• Understanding of relevant regulations affecting the investment management industry

• College degree with a major in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar

• Ability to establish strong internal relationships with China domestic and affiliated offshore International teams – to enhance cross-border business collaboration

• Client-oriented and communicative personality with a collaborative and pro-active attitude

• Fluency in English and Mandarin (both verbal and written)

• Strong attention to detail

• Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
